Portsmouth Spring Restaurant Week

Portsmouth Restaurant Week is in full swing and boy are people loving it. There’s only a few days left, so if you haven’t made those reservations yet…well what are you waiting for?! Just in case you need more convincing, here’s what some happy customers are saying:

Moxy:

We loved Moxy. A group of my friends came up from NYC to visit for Restaurant week and Moxy won the “our favorite restaurant” prize! Food was great, service wonderful and the atmosphere has MOXY.

Jumpin’ Jay’s:

Avery took great care with us last night. It was the first night of restaurant week and we didn’t think we’d be able to get a reservation. Lucky for us, we were able to get in and had an outstanding meal! Your menu when compared to many others in town was outstanding. We enjoyed offerings from the prefixe menu but appreciate that we could have ordered from your regular menu as well. The bevvy’s were delicious! Thank you and thank you to Avery as well!

The Franklin:

The warm, welcoming, and very attentive staff at the Franklin along with the beautiful setting (those tray ceilings!) set the stage for one of the best meals I’ve ever had. I’ve always wanted to try a Milk Punch; not only did I get my chance with the Franklin’s version, Twisted Tea Milk Punch, but it exceeded my every expectation: it was quite simply the best cocktail I’ve ever had, followed by the most delicious risotto entree served with giant flavorful shrimp (their Restaurant Week special.) If with the milk punch and the meal, the chef set the bar high, the beignets for dessert with brown sugar ice cream were similarly over the top, and the perfect note to close a wonderful meal. Being in the Franklin is like entering a special oasis within the otherwise higher-paced downtown area. We will definitely return - and soon!

Ore Nell’s:

I expected tender, juicy, smoky, meat with a good bark from a barbecue restaurant. What I didn’t expect was the surprise of smoked maple sugar granules in the oysters, a delicious fiddlehead relish with the coffee rubbed smoked pork belly, and the grilled pound cake, probably the best dessert I have had in years! Very attentive service as well. Wow!

Vida Cantina:

That cauliflower dish was literally to die for. What an awesome menu!
