Executive Chef

About the Role

JGroup Hospitality is a locally owned hospitality group with a diverse collection of restaurants and hotels, each with its own concept and personality.

As Executive Chef, you’ll lead the day-to-day culinary operation of one of our restaurants, working closely with restaurant leadership to deliver great food, develop your team and run an organized, successful kitchen.

What You’ll Do

• Lead, train and develop the culinary team

• Develop menus and original recipes

• Maintain high standards for food quality, consistency and presentation

• Stay current with restaurant and culinary trends

• Manage food costs, inventory and purchasing

• Oversee ordering, receiving and proper product storage

• Ensure the kitchen is appropriately staffed, organized and maintained

• Establish clear expectations and goals for the culinary team

• Work collaboratively with restaurant leadership

• Maintain a clean, organized and well-functioning kitchen environment

What We’re Looking For

• Proven culinary leadership experience

• Strong leadership, communication and team-building skills

• Experience with menu and recipe development

• Solid understanding of food cost, inventory and kitchen operations

• Excellent organization and time-management skills

• A hands-on leadership style and ability to thrive in a fast-paced restaurant environment

• Availability to work nights and weekends

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $60,000–$70,000 per year
